Hoarding and Squalor

One of the most difficult issues confronting community housing providers and neighbours is the issue of hoarding. This course will define hoarding and explore its impact on the individual and their neighbours, as well as the risks posed by hoarding. We will also explore the possible responses to behaviours of concern around hoarding and squalor. Case studies will be used to explore the different techniques for communicating with tenants as well as the services and referrals that are available.
